Everything you mention is indeed very disturbing and this is one of the very core reasons of this blog. I would like to get the word out and hope that a proud, brave leader will eventually emerge. Yesterday, it was Gaza, today, it's Chevron, tomorrow, it will be East Jerusalem and the day after that, it just may be Tel-Aviv. Why should I move to a country whose own government doesn't believe we have a right to live there and who teaches Jewish children that the founding of the state was a "Nakba"- a catastrophe? Why do we trade tangible assets like land for intangible assets like peace when, as the example with Syria proves, maintaining the military high ground provides us with a situation that is better than peace?
